Williams FW40 Mercedes

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

1. Mounts for a potential monkey wing.

2. outboard diffuser winglet is so aggressive. Almost vertical. Can't see that staying attached.

Shots I took today... Felipe did a LOT of laps and was in the camera sights basically all the time...

Got the answer for you! The shark fin is oscillating!

You could start with minute 1.35 from Formula 1 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wruVMptxJb0

the big question become: Is it done by design? Ferrari's and RB's shark fins do not look to oscillate so much.

Very weird looking car but proving to be weirdly fast. The sidepods are very roundish, resmebling the RB13, but the rake this car is running is massive.
