He said more, praising their amazing times in testing. I don't know why he would come out with that, he didnt exactly try and downplay his own chances in 2014-2016. He knows Ferrari are looking red-hot thus far.

Based on that video, the Mercedes looks pretty good in the corners. It doesn't look like mess.

Hi guys, just a few quick non-edited ones from today. First corner only, no time to check photos from grand stand. Will be on the track tomorrow, taking pictures from all corners and grandstands.
And I did give Eric B. a thumbs up in the paddock today and he waved back so no worries there, McLaren Honda will be fine... LOL
Will post pics in dedicated car threads when I sort them and see what's what...

Is that the Mercedes bad in corners?
Watch 1.18-1.42 and we see a Red Bull power sliding like crazy and then a Mercedes followed by a Ferrari with very little if any difference in how glued they are to the track.

Then watch 5.33-6.02. If anything it's the Ferrari that doesn't want to get the power down not the Mercedes.

Both have lock-ups shown but to say the Mercedes is all over the place on the back of that is certainly stretching it.

Hamilton 9Kph down on Bottas?

I think that floor had a clear difference. In fact how in the hell was Hamilton faster?

You realize that the video has 15min and its from several days of testing, people who actualy are by the track have much more oportunities to see it better... BTW look at 8:08 how the Mercedes is jumpping...

I do realize it.
However it does look planted as does the Ferrari.
Yes it hopped in a tad I agree but all cars in that montage had their 'moments' .

My point is that we are being led to believe that the Mercedes is handling far worse than the Ferrari. Well not in that video it isn't and surely we would see some clear evidence of it?

Ferrari seemed to have made a step which is good for the sport but the reports are that they have gone clear past Mercedes on the drivability and I find that hard to believe.

Sky Sports as well as Lewis Hamilton himself have said the Mercedes was struggling today, other publications have also mentioned they have been struggling with the aero updates they tried out. This isn't 2014-2016 mark my words.

I wouldn't read too much into what Lewis says. He's No.1 for playing mind games.

Mercedes will be getting all the info they need about the PU by combining data from themselves and all the customer teams. While all the time concentrating on aero validation work at higher fuel loads.

The time Lewis set at the beginning of a long run was at least on par with anything else anyone managed on short runs today.

I hope the field bunches up this year, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

wasn't vettel's run today on mediums more or equally impressing? (20 laps and 1.21.1 if I remember correctly)
Mercedes AMG + Hamilton => dreamteam!
If you can't beat'em, call Masi!
