Not at all, I can't remember any comments about the Ferrari looking the best on track and being the most planted.
Go back and look at the 2016 testing threads, they're all on here. There was the exact same pointless raving about laptimes then, and how good the car looked, and how good it was on tyres.
I did take notice of testing, there was none of the feeling about Ferrari like there is with this years car. I don't think times and the way the car looks on track are pointless, it at least gives us an indication of their performance.

The race sim he abandoned with the softs on would have told us 10x more than a quick-ish lap on the timesheets, unfortunately.

It wouldn't be a 'race sim' if they started light on fuel
Didn't you hear? Everything Ferrari does is light on fuel...it's a wonder they ever make it back to the pits...

autosport confirm 15:34 Vettel's stint: softs (16); softs (19); mediums (32).

67 he did indeed do a full race stint. Would love to see the full times of this stint start to finish.

He did not abandon the race simulation.

He came in and changed tyres when the track was red flagged, which stopped us getting representative deg data. Not an issue for the team but it is for us trying to work out where teams are.

Looks like another Renault issue, they're having a competition with Honda this year I think...

At least times seemed to be very competitive according to GP Update.

Sebastian suffered to overtake Massa, too early to judge if those cars are worse to overtake because Barcelona has been always a tough track to overtake.

Right - just look at the race last year.

Definately seems to be running to a set time though, not pushing on the tyres, pity that second soft run didn't keep going to see where they eventually start to get inconsistent.

Are tyres for Spain set yet? If not, do we really think they'll bring the hards (surely not)?

If not, your race sim should really start on SS. I suspect they could still potentially do a 1 stop, but it might be touch and go with a two.

I'm not a Ferrari fan but that is good looking (not to mention full of sponsors!). Really hoping they can make things tricky for Mercedes this year.

I've also noticed they're not being quite so loud about the Merc suspension loophole now their own aero loophole seems to be working well.

True that... RIC went 25 laps on softs after red flag with an avg time of 24.5 according to Autosport.
And they call it a stall. A STALL!
