Is mclaren now just trying to interfere with other teams test programs for fun , or are they still serious.
They came totally unprepared to the track again probably the next thing is they will say the engine got bolted on the wrong way round or something like the other time with the suspension.

I have a feeling I may get my wish and someone may be tempted to crack the 1.18's.

I think you could be a bit previous there!!!

Even if the Ferrari is the fastest - and I have my doubts - no way they'll have the kind of advantage Mercedes had; at best we'll be talking a few tenths, and that will competition.

I'm also hoping that this year sees the driver able to make more difference again; it's my hypothesis that the specific driver's abilities has made less difference as downforce has increased and things like "this is a great circuit for x driver" has become less and less true. But I expect this might change this year, and you'll see drivers able to take more chances - which will in turn create mistakes - as the grip available (and the fact it won't immediately disappear, never to return if pushed) will mean they can chance their arm a bit more.

Or, at least, it's what I'm hoping for :)

A few of the Mercedes-powered cars have done that this week...

Another strange noise from the Williams as he backs off after the line

Does anyone know something about this?

Mercedes is faster than Ferrari, they will be close in first part of year and than in second part RB will become faster than Ferrari as well.

You might do, I don't think it'd show anyone's hand too much, we already know mid 18's is possible just from the sectors they've already strung together.

I do wonder where the vocal lot who were laughing at me saying the cars were capable of 1m17's have gone though...seem a lot quieter the past few days...
