Not sure if this is in the thread somewhere.
Manchild, dude, you should really watermark your graphics or just leave an autograph or something. Your work is all over the net!

Thank you. I've seen that link before somewhere on this forum.

While I had the website, in two years of its existence it had around 7000 unique visitors from over 80 countries, over 600 results in Google for my site, probably tens of thousands have seen my hotlinked pics. I didn't put any watermark since I've never seen anyone doing it on fake pics, but regardless on that, people knew the author of pics since they were linked directly. In all that time I got perhaps 3 or 5 emails from people who just wrote to say they like what I do but not a single proposal for some profitable work :(

I guess it is just like with Tomba's development blog vs. formula1.com technical analysis - Tomba is sometimes even weeks ahead, makes less mistakes and still that guy who works for Bernie gets paid (I bet nicely) and Tomba struggles to keep this site going. So, nepotism or whatever is apparently a global disease and those who are paid are not necessarily better or even as good as those who don't get paid. I'm not a business animal and I'm a poor trader since it's not in my personality to trick people and sell them something beyond real value. If someone wanted to contact me they'd done so in those two years.

Perhaps I should have done some porn photoshopping, since apparently no one cares for F1 photoshopping.

I'd pay for some Bernie getting spanked by Max while wearing a spiked collar!!! GET TO WORK!

Funny, this: When the FW26 Walrus-nose came out, Steve Matchett said in a broadcast that he talked to a few engineers and tech directors about the concept. Ross Brawn told Steve that Ferrari had messed around with the idea a few years before (presumably 2001-2002). So that means Ferrari toyed with it, then Williams used a version of it, and now Ferrari will use the original version 6 years after they first looked at it? Maybe it's because aero is so important now thanks to the engine freeze and SECU and all that other junk.

manchild - fantastic work.

Check page 10 of this week's Autosport for their interpretation of Ferrari's nose.

I quote:

"The trick here is to make the flow off the trailing edge of the front wing flap - where it sits just beneath the bottom of the nose - work more efficiently. Airflow gets squeezed between the flap and the bottom of the nose so a hole in the nosebox would allow the air to travel further and make the bottom of the flap operate more efficiently. It's an old idea - Eghbal Hamidy tried it at Stewart back in the 1990's - but is quite tough to make it work." - Gary Anderson

Thank you.

I'll have to trust you on that one since Autosport is out of reach for me. Did they put any illustration with that article? Can't wait to see what Ferrari has actually done with it.

Anyone can show picture of what was done at Stewart?
I can only remember that bottom of the nosecone is shaped like a V, Ferrari this year has similar shape at the front of the nosecone (beneath that hammerhead shark shape). Maybe that's what he talks about, not a hole?

Manchild - it's a Piola drawing, from a 3/4 front angle - but the shape, size and position of the top exit duct looks spookily like your images

My parents have a scanner and I'll be over there at some point during the weekend so I'll try and get it posted up.
