Wondering what the genre will be. Drama? Horror? Comedy?
Starts as a drama that becomes a horror in testing and ends up as comedy in Australia  :D
Well played

Hope we atleast see the amazon prime logo on the sidepod, looks embarrassing now

That would actually look cool and somewhat match to the orange if they put the prime in orange of course

In that case my guess is Ferrari, i think Vettel might want that challenge. (Beating Alonso in the same car would be one hell of a thing to put on hs resumé.)

Vettel does not have the driving talent to beat Alonso over a course of F1 season in the same car.
I tend to agree with that, irrespective of whether the cars suits Vettel or not.

I bit off topic but Vettel is only good in almost perfect or perfect car, Alonso is good all the time and in a troubeld car he is amazing.

Guys, I dont know if it has already being discussed here (I think it hasent). Kaltenborn gave an interview saying that Sauber wont be open to a in-season switch with Mclaren. https://www.racer.com/f1/item/139206-ka ... nda-switch

That leaves Mclaren left with only one option. If they really wanted to get rid of Honda, they would have to cancel the contract and pay Honda out, which is even more unlikely than the other scenario ever was.

However, there is mounting evidence that Sauber will use Honda engines in 2018 and that this deal will be announced shortly. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-autos ... nvolvement

Why would McLaren pay Honda to get out of the contract?

Honda should be the one paying for the damages to McLaren brand.

Honda´s image is suffering even more. No one will pay to cancel the contract. They are forced to continue working even though they seem to "hate" each other.

In all this talks of reliability one important point gets obscured which is the capability of the current spec without issues and if it was satisfactory Honda wouldn't be talking about hardware changes on the internal combustion engine to raise efficiency. The real moot point is that why did Honda set the bar so low that it appeared in Australia that they were racing in a different category altogether. I have huge respect for Honda as a manufacturer but third year in to the partnership and the gap to the front is bigger than at the start of partnership.

Yes the vibrations during upshifts may be costing half a second of lap time but they are over three seconds behind. Now the point is that Honda got their targets a bit too low which means catching up over the season becomes a monumental task as everyone is improving their engines as well. Renault have a small update in Spain and a big one in Canada. Forget Mercedes they are on another planet, Honda are really far behind Renault in terms of race pace. Honda made a decent step last year but have gone backwards this season. Time is not unlimited in f1 as Mclaren have sponsors to answer to.

Not many though
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️
