Rules regarding fuel flow and max revs are intentionally written with lots of rev headway in mind. Primary reason for this is to avoid drs trains. I'd say the rules succeeded entirely in this aspect.

It's definitely different compared to what Bottas ran in practice last week. The area to the uprer right of the Mercedes badge looks shrink wrapped.

Far bigger cooling outlet for the chimney, and yes, it looks like two wings (well, more likely there as deflectors to balance flow front and rear out of the exit - but they'll still be airfoil shaped)

Looking at it from the side,it seems that the every holes are in line with the little bridges, that act as supports, inside the chimney: in Australia they covered something like 2 thirds of the chimney, so it's likely that they bolt in 1 or 2 pieces of cover when maximum exhaust isn't needed (i.e. Australia ), otherwise they leave it all open (i.e. Bahrain here)

I wonder how that shimney works and what it cools because normally, the air that enters the sidepods and the airbox cooling intakes isnt supposed to circulate freely there, but it's meant to go "straight" to the rear outlets, not to go upwards...
(that's why many cars had/have some kind of fence to prevent the air from going upwards*...
So the shimney is probably connected to a duct that is isolated from everything else and that cools something.. the rear oil rads?

Freestream flow above will pull that little bit more hot air out. Gearbox oil radiator sits near the two nostrils in the engine cover (used since 2014). Better than further opening up the rear bodywork I imagine.

what would stop them from making that flat piece, thats covering half of the opening in the shape of a aerofoil, with strakes underneath to help with the flow out of the car.. just seems like its missing detail.
