Say you have a pie with 10 slices, and there's 10 people, if everyone gets a slice, there is an equal distribution. If one greedy bum gets two slices, or 3 in Christian mafia's case, he has more pie than everyone else, hence he has the majority share of the pie relative to others.
The word you're looking for is plurality.
Why thank you my good man, TIL

Also am I the only one that thinks this track could use a 3rd DRS zone?

Whatever it is, it's not the thread topic. I was hoping my barrage of on-topic posts would steer things back, but

What's there to talk about it's Wednesday, no driver's interview, no speculation on the weather, nothing so lighten up a lil'. No more pointless than the barrage of wishful pie in the sky predictions we normally get at the beginning of every race thread.

Aaaanyway, back on topic; we're going to see more apples to apples comparison between Ferrari and Mercedes this weekend.

Ferrari has only started on the dirty side this year, so not sure yet if Ferrari has lost their edge on starts..

No, not pluralism. (Not in America, anyway.)

Absent a clear majority, the largest bloc represents a plurality.

Majority means more than half. You mean something else.

Anyway, roll on something technical to discuss this weekend... [-o<

Please, let me complain a little bit. :D
It wouldn't be our beloved forum if we didn't enjoy a good moan now and then.

Do we really need a weather prediction for the desert? I mean last year I predicted it would rain the Wednesday before the race and it did, but no such luck this year.

Alonso actually has a pretty good chance winning this thing. You must take in mind that the same team (Andretti) fitted with a 2.2-litre twin-turbo V6 Honda engine was the winner last race. However, can Alonso fully adapt to the car? I've never followed any Indy and i'm not too familiar on how different the cars are from F1. Nevertheless, this is a good way to keep Alonso happy for a while and for Honda and McLaren to do some good marketing.
The question is who will replace Alonso for Monaco? Maybe JB? I think he is still under contract.

They won last year because they got lucky on a caution near the end of the race, and managed to hang on. This year it's different, the Honda engine is actually competitive.

I think it will be JB, who else would it be?

If they had a super license, and they wanted even more intense media attention, Danica Patrick or Simona de Silvestro.

Realistically, anyone but Jenson Button would be a big surprise.

Alexander Rossi maybe? Perhaps Paul di Resta? Maybe they finally give Nick Heidfeld a go :D Would be nice to see Kubica in a car again, but he'd never cope at Monaca with the poor range of motion in his elbow.

- Giovanazzi, how is his move to Ferrari working out now, huh  ?
- I thought it was Alonso crying for attention but it might be a marketing stunt too. I don't see anything positive about it but who knows maybe a distraction?

Decent track for Bottas but better for Ham so unless the former puts some pressure Q order is likely to remain similar. At least there won't be rain. Then in theory except for Monaco good races for VB: Rus, Spain, maybe Can, Baku, Austria, GB. He needs to win something soon.
