Ahh right gotcha.
A shame there's no live video feed!
Considering Hasegawa already said they want to trial some ideas and designs on the engine side I'm not expecting huge amounts of laps from McLaren during this test.

General complexity of the front wing, brake drums, loads of elements around the barge-boards. I'm not implying removing wings, just simpler geometry - see RB13
They most probably based their work on the numbers Honda supplied them.everythingisawesome wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 11:49General complexity of the front wing, brake drums, loads of elements around the barge-boards. I'm not implying removing wings, just simpler geometry - see RB13
Agreed, however, in their current state, it would be easier than redesigning an engine.mclaren111 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 12:16They most probably based their work on the numbers Honda supplied them.everythingisawesome wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 11:49General complexity of the front wing, brake drums, loads of elements around the barge-boards. Difficult to just remove / change everything as it all works together.
The chassis seems very modular, the aero parts around the bargeboards seems to bolt right on. I suppose the chassis was built with this in mind so that they could tweak the aero surfaces without major redesigns, if only their drivetrain had the same philosophy.mclaren111 wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 12:16They most probably based their work on the numbers Honda supplied them.everythingisawesome wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 11:49General complexity of the front wing, brake drums, loads of elements around the barge-boards.
