yeah I think I'd start watching again too... just to see him wipe the floor on road courses!Chuckjr wrote: ↑21 May 2017, 07:53Fred will bring a ton of international audience that would have never tuned in. I'm really happy he is doing this. I actually hope this parlays into a drive in Indycar when he leaves F1. It will give me a reason to start watching American open wheel racing again and will extend his open wheel racing career - which is only a good thing in my opinion.
How close is this? I'm not used to average speeds so I don't know if that's super close or not.It looks it though.Cannonballer wrote: ↑21 May 2017, 01:42From - http://www.indycar.com/News/2017/05/05-20-Indy-500-Live:
The fastest nine qualifiers on Saturday, and therefore those who will compete for the Verizon P1 Award on Sunday are as follows:
1) Ed Carpenter - 230.468 mph
2) Takuma Sato - 230.382 mph
3) Scott Dixon - 230.333 mph
4) JR Hildebrand - 230.205 mph
5) Alexander Rossi - 230.148 mph
6) Will Power - 230.072 mph
7) Fernando Alonso - 230.034 mph
Tony Kanaan - 230.007 mph
9) Marco Andretti - 229.924 mph
How big is the ~0.5mph gap between 1st and 9th? Is this like <Q3 where fast enough to advance is fast enough quit?
Nice to see Rossi's name up there as well.
I had the same problem, so I converted mph into miles per second, and divide track lenght / miles per second. And time gap is less then one tenth of secondSiLo wrote: ↑21 May 2017, 18:29How close is this?
