Looking at speed traps, I have a feeling Seb chose to lose a bit of wing angle compared to yesterday... Mercedes on the other hand, seem to have added some. Is it just me?

And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Hamilton is hiding his hand. He is not using DRS on the straights. So mercedes may not have as much wing as we would think. Anyhow looks like both cars are neck and neck.

I beg to differ. If Ferrari get pole by over a tenth, I'll be very, very surprised.

The midfield is moving in even closer, Alonso, hulkenberg, massa, Ocon, the toro,s perez. Was Ricci having problems? Max on 4, in Canada, here is hoping RB,s pace is genuine.

In FP2 Bottas was on S tyres when he did his fastest time being only one and a half tenths slower than Ham running on SS tyre ... He did the same 8 lap race sim stint on that time, although we don`t know which engine mode or fuel he had
Could anyone tell me here which delta is between US-SS and S tyres?
Haaa ... I suddenly remembered this year, besides dimensions and construction, tyre composition is harder than last year ...
So what Bottas did with this 2017 soft tyre in fact it was 2016 medium tyre compound on which they were king around the circuit ...
So another reason behind their struggle is that 2017 US tyre it`s 2016 SS tyre which did them a hard time even with that pseudo FRIC on board last year ...

FP2 speed traps :

and now FP3 speed traps :

So Vettel is super confident he will be on pole and having a better top end speed is reassured he will fend off Ham`s attack on the back straight ... or Merc is looking for another setup in order to run longer on the US tyre in the first stint of the race coz it seems here could work again the overcut like in Monaco?

All of the drivers were and are complaining about problems with the grip, if u ask me this is the best thing that happened this year. Seeing them making mistakes, scraping walls and getting their tyres punctured or getting a spin is a breeze of fresh air for the audience. If Liberty wants to make a watchable, unpredictible and entertaining sport, than they should order Pirelli to make tyres with less grip, which demand more of drivers imput to make them work.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

That's the Pole Lap of the year so far. Hamilton is peerless around this circuit.
