I agree that there's an issue over penalty consistency, but...
Witness Baku at Castle Corner, where so many Drivers reversed into the line of approaching cars from the escape road.
That's because there's a rule against reversing in the pit lane, but there's not one against rejoining the track, as long as you don't do it in a way that interferes with other drivers.
Then there was #Red44 looking likely to be Black-flagged if he did not stop to change the headrest
No - not black flagged - black and orange flagged. An entirely different thing.
Guess it depends on reference point....what do you think might have happened if the headrest flew off and created an ensuing accident behind? Academic I know, but that is why I said likely to be! In addition no doubt those 'yellow-flags' were out at Castle Corner as reversing back from the run-off area was likely to interfere with other fast approaching drivers.

No, don't confuse reference point, perspective, opinions, whatever you want to call it... with set rules and facts. That's the problem with on line discussions that go 60 some odd pages. Some people think their opinions should be weighted equally to the facts. More bewildering still, people when presented with facts challenging their statements, double down on their misinformed opinion or worse, move the goal post. Everyone knows the how the process works.

The equivalent to measure twice cut once for forums should be; Read twice post once.

Maybe they'll just put 10 sec on Vettel's time and put him behind Hamilton in Baku results. The gap in WC will lessen a bit, becoming tighter among Vettel and Hamilton and that's it.
Vettel will get his punishment and it wouldn't be as harsh as a ban or taking away points.
That's the dumbest thing to do. Why penalize Vettel for Mercedes mistake. Its their own fault that Vettel finished infront. Get over it. brundle, button, stewart and company said :move on. He got his penalty

The FIA, doesn't care what they think. Not to mention the FIA's opinion is the only one that really matters.

Agreed that the two-eyes one mouth philosophy should be adopted, however don't confuse what you think you understand with my point of reference!

Indeed they did, yet people say the Brits are biased towards their own.

Why would you want to involve an entire country and it's people and pass such a generalised statement? I support Sebastian, but I'm not blind to his errors or in this case sheer stupidity and arrogance. But, I do feel his disqualification from the GP is warranted. It has nothing to do with where Hamilton finished or the WDC or the WCC. I'm simply isolating the particular error he made and if our governing body or race control did the same, the decision making wouldn't be so difficult and prolonged. Who knows? This might be a tactic to generate more interest and drama in a championship fight!

Now, I don't consider what I'm about to post as 'biased' but it might be because I do support Vettel and will continue to do so. I feel a decision on this should have been made before Austria. To have this sword dangling on Vettel's head till the hearing is outright unfair and detrimental to a championship. But, this is just my opinion.
"Sebastian there's very, you're a member of a very select few.. Stewart, Lauda, Piquet, Senna, Prost, Schumacher, Fangio.. VETTEL!"

Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Lol. Nonetheless.

Where is Norbet Vettel in all of this? Where is Vettel's dad?! We need to hear from him.

Would Ferrari go on a new media 'block', or would they start bringing pressure on Hamilton?

I like the way Mercedes is operating, they are clearly the 'victims' and are keeping quiet.

Just imagine Vettel going full attack and saying that Hamilton's road rage in Australia wasn't an example for the young kids either. This would spice it up even more.

Waiting for the verdict of the FIA... :)
