Hahaha ok sorry, it seems that this sticky and warm weather is affecting me. #-o

I do hope that Liberty will change this and will help to watch again true wet races.

Hamilton very strong and as expected Verstappen looks fast, last year was second and this time it looks he will be very competitive too. I wil wait until the FP2 to make a conclusion about Ferrari, they usually improve their pace through the weekend.

Was Ham's time set with the slower tyre?

Yep, he went fastest on the ultras then the super sorts then the softs. I don't get it but I'm sure it will be clear come FP2

There is no point on the compound at the moment. Qualy will be like 3 secs less than FP1 pace ....

Well, Ham broke the track record already, 3 seconds less in qualy seems a bit of a stretch, he would be demolishing that record!

Apparently, Mercedes brought the updates they had planned for Silverstone to Austria.

In an interview with Toto on ORF (Austrian broadcast), they want to understand why the difference between the S, SS and U is that small (in other words, why they are so quick on the S). There's also the point though that the track is quite green. FP2 will be interesting.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Any word on the new Ferrari engine? It is supposed to be a big upgrade. Would they be evaluating it during FP1?

Ferrari´s update will arrive in Silverstone, unless it has been a last minute plan change.

I don't see them going under 1:04 this weekend. This is probably one of the warmest weekends so far, rivaling the Bahrain weekend during the day. Maybe the US overheats towards the end of the lap, the SS after a few laps, and the Softs are finally in their working range.
