Will Redbull split the Ferraris? Kimi looks vulnerable...

Mercedes looks mighty, but the difference between ultra and SS may not be that big. Possibly 2-3 tenths?
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Prediction for Tomorrow, Verstappen makes contact with Hamilton as both are trying to be too greedy.
Raik overtakes Vettel before first corner.

- Grosjean as always brilliant. Give the man better car FFS :x

- Told you Ferrari and Merc would be close.

- I thought they gave the pole to Hamilton before it started, No, it's only internet world of fiction and wishful thinking.

I think Seb might have got pole if not for the yellow flag, that was closer than expected. Ironically i think lewis using the ss in q2 compromised his q3 running. Should be a fun race though.

Good performance by Vettel i was surprised to see him match the Mercs.
Not a good Q3 for Hamilton or Verstappen.

Maybe Hamilton is running a different setup, knowing he wont start on pole anyway. AMuS said it was a strategic decision to keep quiet on Hamiltons gearbox change as that gave them the opportunity to prepare during FP1 and 2, while everyone else was focusing on a more default approach to the weekend on Friday.

- Or he braked too early, or took the last corner slower, or car was set up differently. How about RB - Ferrari engine mode comparison? Those excuses are getting sillier and sillier. If it's Hamilton behind = Mercedes is "worse affected by dirty air" if it's Vettel it's evil engine mode. No, it's car vs car and driver vs driver.

- They are as close as it can be 1-2-3-4 and this nonsense can't die. Difference between Ferrari and Mercedes engines with all the made up fairy tales and measured in time is smaller than between RB's Renault and Mercedes V8s of ... - '13.

Omg Hamilton refused to shake vettels hand, despite everything he has said about how it's behind them and they've moved on. What a despicable act, what kind of example is that setting for the youth of today? He's a role model and should be showing humanity and forgiveness, not bearing grudges. He should be given a race ban at least.

How is someone saying there's a two tenths gap in engines any less of a speculation than you saying its not ??? No one knows for sure . You cannot turn round and go "oh it's nonsense" because you cannot know there's no difference either.

No, you can. What's nonsense is the inference - "the Merc was 0.2 seconds faster in sector 1, therefore the engine is what made that difference" <- this is a false statement.

The Merc was 0.2 seconds faster in sector 1. There are many things that could have caused that.
• A better engine
• A lower downforce setup
• Better mechanical grip out of corners
• ...
