What a disaster, some explanations are needed. Both drivers were nowhere.

What an incredible lap by Lewis!!! Records must be Broken in this epic way.
Explanation is easy. Ferrari is kinder to the tries which makes it more difficult to heat up them during rain.
look at Q2 when Lewis complained that tyres are cold and Vettel banged FL
Lewis was fastest of everyone in Q2

Yep it could be that with a very low downforce setting FER couldn't heat much full wet tyres. Well we'll tomorrow if anything changes, it doesn't bode well for FERRARI anyway

Lewis starting with Ocon and Stroll.

Vettel starting with Massa and Kimi.

Vettel prob has a better chance of getting through the first lap lol

If Stroll/Ocon/both pass HAM in T1, we still can see some racing.

I'm at work have a coffee before I start and WOW where did that time come from?

Hamilton just kicked Ferrari to death on their own Tarmac.

Why Vettel,Kimi and especiallly Bottas didn`t improved but Lewis?
Yeah, Max, Ricci, Kimi and Vettel have had the same 8 lap tyre and Bottas&Lewis did only 2 coz they had new ones ...

Stroll, first time driving an F1 car in the wet. Not too shabby.

which is why Mercedes didn't use them in Q2. Smart.

As they say, you're never as bad as they say and never as good as they say either.

It's going to be a miserable nights sleep and I have a feeling that tomorrow will be a sleepless one!

So if Ferrari set their car up for dry weather, why were they the only ones struggling in the wet?

I guess Ferrari had trouble with the full wet tyre temperature. In the Q2 it seemed like they were engaged in the battle for the first rows

Pretty dammed epic performance from Hamilton today, he wanted the 69 badly, wet weather negating the PU advantage, to be one second atop of Verstappen, the guy who put that Brazilian GP performance last year in the wet, and two seconds ahead of his teammate who's not shabby in wet weather, simply sublime.

CONGRATULATIONS to Lewis; Driver with Most poles in F1.

What a fantastic drive by Max. Once again, Lewis and Max prevailing in Wet. Mercedes made a very late call to change the rubber and gave very little time to prepare the tyres. Lewis pulled it through with an epic lap.

Lance and Ocon! Really stood out. They start with their career's highest starting position. Though conditions were very difficult, they did not bin it. Good job.
