If you see the onboard pole from last year, you will realize that, turn 4, 11 and 14 are not slow. They are more downforce dependent than mechanical. So, Mercedes wouldn't be struggling over there. It's only turn 1 (80 kph), 2 (82 kph), 9 (79 kph) and 15 (81 kph) that require more mechanical grip that would be crucial for traction from lower speed.Moose wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 16:19My expectation of who'll be faster where:

To me, this is a pretty clearly Mercedes track.
I was going to comment on this very fact, and you've not only beat me to the punch, but created a handy dandy map. Surely worth more than 1000 forum words.Moose wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 16:19My expectation of who'll be faster where:

Careful what you ask for.Vasconia wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 16:36Love the pic with those black clouds. Some rain will be great.
By the way, it would be great if they continue with the trend of starting the race with the normal proccedure even if rains. It was a great and pleasant surprise what we watched in Singapur. Is true F1 back?
I love risk, you know?TAG wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 16:54Careful what you ask for.Vasconia wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 16:36Love the pic with those black clouds. Some rain will be great.

He hasn't been particularly lucky at either circuit, this being a notable example.
True, forgot he was punted out and crashed while leading in Brazil, I think by Hulkenberg.Fulcrum wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 18:45He hasn't been particularly lucky at either circuit, this being a notable example.
I'd give 7&8 to Ferrari as well.Moose wrote: ↑19 Sep 2017, 16:19My expectation of who'll be faster where:
