Assuming, the new spec PU is more powerful than the old one and is conforming to the new oil burning regulation, which Ferrari hasn't been ready to race yet, though it is has travelled with them to Malaysia.
Suppousedly it is more powerful, just 10 horses, and Ferrari decided to get "cute" and say this isn't a power track, let's wait.

It's not a power track, but it's not Singapore either...
Indeed. And what happens if that supposed Turbo failure has damaged the new ICE.

We are talking about Raikkonen here... if his engine blows up because of the turbo, he takes a penalty, the world will keep spinning.

Sorry my mistake I thought you were talking about Vettel.

If only he would finish races though. Statistics don't lie.

Well, the WDC and WCC is over. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th places in the championship look done and dusted. 1-4 in the WCC is done. Not a whole lot of meaning left in the last 5 races tbh!

Funny thing, different from Kimi, Sebastian actually has the latest engine on his car.

He does as long as that Turbo couldn't and/or didn't just throw its guts into that ICE.

That was all Hamilton. I'm actually surprised Raikkonen got that close. The advantage for pole here isn't as large as some circuits, so it should be an interesting start tomorrow.

In the event of the race staying completely dry, first prize for Ferrari would be Vettel finishing in the top 5, Raikkonen winning, with Hamilton as low as possible.

If Raikkonen doesn't appear capable of threatening Hamilton for first, I wonder if Ferrari will try to use him as a roadblock? Bunch the field up to allow Vettel an opportunity to fight with Bottas, Ricciardo and Verstappen. Not really the easiest circuit to do this though, what with the massive DRS zones.

Gutted for Ferrari. It's not the way you want to see things pan out. I'm wondering though, have they pushed the turbo too far? With PR speak and media statements we may never know the truth.

Well done Kimi, he was on it all weekend.

lol @ all the it's a mercedes/ferrari track. With the result in the end I guess we can say it's a nobody's track

This has been one of the most intriguing title races in years but it does seem now that for whatever reason it, well, seems to be washing out

Its a long way from the back. If Vettel does not make the top 10, Lewis would effectively have two dnf's in hand.

So, this is a Merc track you guys say?
Looked pretty handy to me.

Their short analysis (based on very limited runs by the team) suggest that Ferrari are very strong, Kimi bit in the longrun, Vettel in the one-lap pace and that Dan Ricciardo had very impressive consistent times. This is the gist of it.
I rest my case.

Hamilton can easily have a failure and Vettel finishes in the top 5, you never know till this race is over.
For Sure!!

He will have another fresh engine tommorow anyways.
