A green and cool track. Sounds perfect for Mercedes unfortunately.
Nobody wants the WCC tied up and the WDC pretty much tied up with 3 races to go.

I think they should put a couple of feet of gravel on the ouside of turns, then the tarmac runoff after that. The drivers will definitely lose time by running wheels on to the gravel, and the big tarmac run offs are still there for the safety aspects.

The problem is that drivers would have no stopping power when going trough the gravel on tarmac, taking gravel with them and skidding on it like on marbels on the tarmac. It should be gravel all the way, or some other material which would slow them down and punish them for their mistake.

Wet grass or wet AstroTurf would be a good bet. Low adhesion and minimal debris back on track for the detriment of others.

Dry air, rain is gone, ambient temps are low, the sun is beaming on the track however, it's bone dry as of now. Still quite windy.
