Only one guy didn't spin his car in Brazil last year. He won the race too. I think Verstappen has some wet driving skill, that's why I'm even more bummed about Singapore, it was going to be a pretty fantastic race, and then it wasn't.

Lets be honest, Hamilton drove up front.. less spray from cars in front and hardly any pressure from behind.

That might be true for the first 10 laps or so but after that the leaders start approaching back markers, the field gets strung out, everyone has to deal with the spray.

Mercedes team members robbed at gunpoint leaving the circuit yesterday. Luckily no one hurt but obviously shaken up.

After FP2 race sim laps delta between S and SS is on average 2 tenths but S tyre it`s more durable and most of all has a high temp operation windows ... hence, bearing in mind we could see some +50 degree track temp tomorrow in the race, we could see one RB or Kimi - at least - qualify in Q2 on that tyre ...

We will see it in the future how they will go against each other..

It is just great for the sport to have such drivers, able to do special things when needed.

In that race Hamilton did not need to push- therefor it is indeed less likely to make mistakes and have a flawless race.

Hamilton doesn’t get any better by not admitting Verstappen’s great race.

Well that was embarrassing. And an odd place to lose the rear of the car as well, he was well past the apex. Looked to be bottoming out heavily, maybe out lap/ cold tires; should've been more careful.

Yeah, I noticed the bottoming out too. Before he loses the car, there are a lot of sparks underneath the car, yet from the onboard, he wasn't really on the brakes (perhaps off throttle?).

To be fair, Massa is extra fast here. Has always been. And they put together his car in the last minute. So...

By the same measure, this is a much shorter track and he's still 1 second behind so those two pretty much cancel out. I think that is 1 second behind in 4 of the last 5 qualifying sessions, he is terrible, absolutely terrible in qualifying. 12 times out in Q1 it seems from a car that could comfortably get into Q3 is just completely unacceptable. If Massa squeaks into Q3 and Strolls loses out in Q2 by 4/10ths that is one thing, but being a second down and being out in Q1 in this case is nothing short of embarrassing.
