Red Bull RB13 TAG Heuer

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

This concave diffuser is so aggressively expanding it's nasty!

I'm really going to struggle liking the halo,
It looks terrible

If it saves a life I'll most certainly change my opinion, but for now it's an eyesore πŸ˜ͺ

Change in fw concept, the "flip" on one of the fw elements, the inner section is gone for a more conventional layout?

Yes, looks like the wing tips are more "standard". Also, the small element behind the cascade is changed as well

Another angle from their "new" FW:

A new "thing" between 33 and TagHeuer-Logo. Likely a measuring device:

What happened to the spring-element connected to the push rod, or just not assembled? But during FP?
Here a pic from FP1:

It's a Pitot sensor, basically a air speed sensor.
The cheapest sort of pride is national pride, every miserable fool who has nothing at all of which he can be proud adopts, as a last resource, pride in the nation to which he belongs; thus reimbursing himself for his own inferiority.

It looks too flush to be a Pitot sensor, one of which you can see just in front of this mysterious sensor. I'm with camera for now. It only seems to have been fitted to Verstappen's car.

Perhaps it was for monitoring the halo, and it wasn't removed after the halo was removed?

I haven't seen FP. Did Max run the halo?

I think Silent Storm meant the tripod pitot tube.
But we speak about the thing between the pitot sensor and the Tag Heuer logo.

Reminds me a lot of the frontwing RBR tested on the RB12 at the 2016 Belgian Grand Prix.

You are correct. It is the new 360o camera which all cars will be running in this position next year

Nah. the new 360 camera looks like a black door nob.
