This question is aimed at the F1 audience. So the F1 audience is where the question should be asked.

Of the 3379 do you know how many were men or women
Except Liberty wants to grow the F1 audience..............

So why didn't they ask, if we take away the grid girls, will you start watching F1

Why? Why should it only be the current F1 audience who are asked?

I think this is the bizarre thing about a lot of fans attitude to the sport. They think they have some kind of ownership of it and that their needs alone should be catered for. The fact is that lots of women I know are alienated from the sport because of the grid girls. F1 should be welcoming everyone to it and so why restrict the question to the 'fans'?

I've no idea how many men and women were asked but most surveys try to get a balance as that improves accuracy. Again though, I would take a professional survey over what some person on a forum thinks is the truth any day of the week.

Is this really going to affect peoples enjoyment of the sport? No.

Will it drive people away from the sport? I doubt it.

Will it bring more fans to the sport? Possibly.

I really don't see what the problem here is, the world changes all the time and the time for using women as attractive baubles to be seen and not heard while the men do the racing has long since past.

I'm sure Liberty have done that poll internally, you'd be mad to think they haven't.

Not sure how relevant it is to this but the fastest growing sports seem to be Womens football and Womens rugby.
This evening I am going to watch a womens rugby international. They will be there in tight tops and shorts and everyone will be looking at them and it is televised by BBC

The fans attitude to the sport is correct to have a sense of ownership. Its a sport, a game, without the fans, there is no sport or game. So the fans are extremely vital to the whole thing. So the fans of said sport views and opinions are far more important than a non fan of the sport.

that poll obviously asked the RIGHT question to get the desired response, why didn't they ask - now that Formula1 has got rid of the grid girls, would you start watching it?

but they don't ask that question, because they don't want to know, they asked the question to support their agenda, that is nothing new, it has been done forever

there are lies, big lies, VERY big lies, and then are the statistical poll analysis, you can manipulate those results whichever way you want by asking the questions the right way

The premise of this entire argument is faulty.

If you run a sport and you want more fans, you do what you think will increase the fan base. You don't care how much of the current fan-base is alienated, just that it's bigger when you're done.

The "my opinion is more important", is an entitlement mentality.

Is Formula 1 right to stop using 'grid girls'?

Was the question.

If you asked, would you start watching? That is more of skewed question as it discounts peoples moral objections. Lots of people might never watch motorsport but can still think it's right that we don't objectify women.

Why don't you do your own poll on twitter or whatever and ask your friends the question you want to ask them and I'm sure you get a result that makes you happy.

Its the perfect question, because it appears they ditched the girls purely to get new viewers.
So why not ask that question.

dude.... would you start watching is EXACTLY the right question to ask to see if your actions had the desired result - enlarge the fan base of the sport, it is BILLION times more unskewed than asking - did we do the right thing dropping the grid girls...

I don't even...

The survey was done by Yougov. They're an independent survey company. Or do you think they're part of the deep-state, feminist nexus working to ruin mens lives by remaking their beloved classic films with women in the lead parts and destroying all we fellas hold dear like grid girls and lying on the sofa in our pants.

The survey was done by Yougov. Not Liberty. Yougov took no action to remove grid girls. They are an independent survey group, dude.

I can't even...
