I know that the fans want it. But I see, especially after watching their own docu, where I didn't see any real leadership or energy, that they have some entitlement or aura (can't find the best english word for it) that they should win and they don't understand why... they are McLaren! McLaren should win, they always have. Living in the past. Like they forgot that you start at zero points every year and have to start over.Xero wrote: ↑19 Feb 2018, 21:42This is purely for the fans, they asked for it, and now they're getting it. I don't mind it at all, but I do agree with the hi-tech image that McLaren have/had, and this not really fitting it. I don't think they're ever lose that cutting-edge feel though, and they're recent promotion material backs that, it's been really good.

Will be a full papaya orange livery, with a black halo and black cockpit trim and wing mirrors. May possibly have a black rear wing and white number circle to complete the retro look. Sneak peak of the car at 1:23.

To me McLaren should be hi-tech and so it should look.
I think except the retro number as it would be a weird geometric number as the ad, the rest all orange as the indy Alonso had but I am guessing the Halo will be black but with and ingraving orange as the Kimoa glasses, maybe is the place where they put the logo of Kimoadiffuser wrote: ↑19 Feb 2018, 23:24Jolle wrote: ↑19 Feb 2018, 21:30Although I love the old liveries, old cars and vintage I don't like retro. When Steve Jobs came back at Apple in the mid nineties, first thing he did was closing the in-house museum.
I know the colour is only something from marketing and comes from a small office between hundreds of engineers.
Lets hope Brown found the right fire to push McLaren.
