Well the fact McLaren were not given access to the Merc PU when they used their motors (see Ron Dennis complaining customers don't get the same benefits) and even the Honda's internal components weren't completely divulged to them, unless Renault are surprisingly open and say "oh hey, here are the plans and intricate running details of our new PU you'll require to test with your new fuel partner", they unlikely have unrestricted access..
Right, but Mclaren were a customer team only for Mercedes after they split and Merc started to focus on their own team. Honda...well it seems that relationship really wasn't very healthy at all. But Mclaren have a works-level deal with Renault, so perhaps they do get more access to the PU than we think. Especially if they're helping with the ERS etc...
