I think the fact that it doesn't seem to have broken down would make him bear climax compared to last season
I believe the car ran fine on its filming day last year too, it wasn't until it was driven full-on at Barcelona that the fuel tank and other issues started to show up

They cancel the Silverstone shakedown last year, it's in the Amazon show. IIRC, car didn't hit the track till pre-season testing.
That's correct, it was however rescheduled and took place at Barcelona on Sunday 26th, the day before the 1st test started though

Yes they cancel the shakedown in Silverstone because the floor was unfinished

Think we'll see many changes in Australia. They would have held back as much visual aero as possible to not give it away. The PU Cover will likely tighten as they go through testing and gather real world data.

The blue looks much better imo. And the black paint on the halo masks it. It would stick out like a sour thumb if it was orange like the rest of the car

I agree. This launch spec is pretty much the same car that finished last year in Abu Dhabi

If you checkout elements you will find strong evidence pointing to reducing the drag.
That's one thing (the drag) that McLaren was accused a lot in 2017.
I loved the iconic McLaren-Honda
But most of all i love McLaren . After all first contact made with M23 that had a Ford Cosworth PU

Small airbox and sidepod inlets are for sure reducing drag!

Master (Newey) and the Pupil (PP). Fortunately, Pupil possess arguably the best driver on the grid to drive his creation.

That's my 2 cents for this battle!

IMHO This year's car has all the package to be a winner!

Great driver.
Good enough engine.
Great chassis if evolved with caution ...
Radical back suspension system ....

Let's wait and see. McLaren and Red Bull are always talking about how great their chassis is, but I always have a feeling that they are underestimating the chassis performance of the Mercedes.
