Mclaren Redbull and Ferrari looking best trough first 3 corners on track observers say....Mercedes having some overstear problems same as TR....
I'm not sure about TR, but from whats been reported, Mercedes was having a hard time getting heat in the tires. That explains why the car was twitchy.

Slightly interesting that McLaren's best time was miles away from red bull and they had a tyre advantage. I know they lost running time but that is a large difference

It's day one of testing, in freezing temperatures, with rain. Or are you seriously suggesting we should see Willams being overtaken every four laps come Melbourne?

He got like 15 laps in comparable conditions. What was RB's best time after 15 laps?

(Unless you're talking about when Dan and Alonso were out on wets, I haven't seen their times if they did a few laps)

So 105 laps for RB, 99 Renault..... not bad.

Danny didn't improve on his time after lunch Alonso did which shows the track was there to do so. I know it's not the be all and end all in day 1 but it's just worth noting that it's not a great time

why was hamilton's lap count so low today?
was there a problem or was it just part of the plan?

I believe it was mainly the track conditions being so cold and wet that they wouldn't have gathered much valuable data

Hamilton and Bottas each drive a half day every day and this afternoon it rained quite long.

Even given the conditions that is a fairly awful showing from Sirotkin there

Someone posted this photo on Twitter. It is before Alonso's wheel came off. The right rear wheel seems loose

well it seems pretty logical doesn't it that if a wheel comes off, because of a loose/damaged wheelnut,
that right before it actually comes off, the wheel seems loose? :?

all the negativity and haterism on anything mclaren has been seriously done.
can you just, stop it.
What man must stop is comparing times for the first day of testing by very cold weather.
By the way, the best lap by Alonso :

Making a valid statement based on facts I have no inbuilt hatred for McLaren.
