They helped with the KERS, not heard anything about the H side.

If I were Mercedes I’d forget about the 3 engines rule. Go for power, blitz it and accept you will use 5 engines and take two minor penalties.

It would basically guarantee a win at all the other races as you would probably be running 100bhp more per race than the Renault and 70bhp over the Ferrari.

Alternate which race each driver takes a new engine and you minimise and losses.

Basically what I said in the Renault topic as well. I can not imagine they all sacrifice an amount of 5% power to meet this 3 engine rule.

Running 100% with a bit less fuel efficiency makes the car a bit heavier in the start of the race, but eventually at the end of the race everybody has an empty (light) tank, so you only loose some in the beginning.

Zytek helped Merc-HPP back in 2008-2009 for the first system. Thence forward they all fell out over the IP. KERS/ERS and more was then brought in-house.

Exactly why the penalty for taking new engines was originally supposed to be for every race that the extra engines raced. If the penalty applied for every race rather than just 1 the PU manufacturers wouldn't have such a huge advantage from being able to afford much more PUs.

Just got word that Pierre Godof, the man behind the split turbo, has taken over the single cylinder team. Sounds like something spicy is in the works.

Total BS - they did not even have KERS back in 2007, let alone MGUH and turbos. The V6 was officially agreed on in 2011.
