Set the fastest lap, and them immediately spun at turn 2 bringing out the red flag. Must have been pushing!
Don't think so if you look at the lap times he did two at about the same pace in a row so he can't be pushing very hard. It was also a several lap stint with often lapping in the 1,20,xxx so not close to the max for sure. Although it is still a fast time for mediums (last year softs) I think, considering it is not quali sims and only second day of training

Vettel lowers the benchmark with a 1m20.115s on softs.

I'm betting STR are running low downforce going by the speed trap.

So now you have a driver spinning out and not anywhere near the limit #-o

Mid 1:17 or low 1:18 should be achievable with this cars, so 1:20 for Ferrari is not pushing IMHO.
You can spin car for no good reason, especially in testing.

Indeed.

The Ferrari is quickest but clearly Vettel isn't pushing like crazy.

Another half a second shaved off by Kubica. He's just three tenths down on Sirotkin's best time from today.

two days into testing, I'm not even going to fathom a thought on who is quickest. Australia is where it will count, though a lot of folk say the gauntlet get thrown down near/on the final day of testing.

What worries me is that McLaren used three compounds softer than everyone else and even so is third. They might easily end up behind STR on the same compound. If their chassis isn't as great as everyone thinks there's no hiding behind Honda this season.
