Definitely hypersofts on the McLaren. Boullier explained yesterday that it's not a performance thing, rather a need to get the tyres working quickly when they are planning testing things around short runs. Sometime a 10-lap or 12-lap stint isn't what they want to do, but that's what they'd need to have the tyres working properly.

Really hope it's not not the normal Boullier BS

Well if you do a ''quick'' lap with a 10 + laps of fuel on board that implies something inst it?

If he did that with race settings and if his lap times consistent it means more. If it is with qualy mode and lap times getting worser dramatically it means less but still has meaning

Ocon has gone quickest. Apperntly he wasnt even on a personal best in S1&2 so he has found over 2.6s in S3 (seeing as that's how much he beat his previous time by). I find that hard to understand.

It's been wiped off for track limits in T14. It made no sense otherwise

So in essence yeah he did an Alonso.
