Dont be silly, mercedes is not a second faster. You cant base everything on one run that is not done on same stints in cars that are not final spec.

From Sky Sports F1

The potential pecking order at the business end of the grid is the major talking point as we near an end to testing, with Mercedes thought to have a lot more in their one-lap locker.

Here's the best times per tyre from the world champions, Ferrari and Red Bull this winter...

FERRARI

Hypersofts 1:17.182 Vettel, Day Seven

Ultrasofts 1:18.079 Vettel, Day Seven

Supersofts 1:18.298, Raikkonen, Day Eight

Softs 1:19.541 Vettel. Day Six

Mediums 1:20.000 Vettel, Day Six

Red Bull

Hypersofts 1:18.047 Ricciardo, Day Six

Ultrasofts 1:18.961 Ricciardo, Day Six

No prob. It's hard to keep up if you aren't watching every second lol.

Unfortunately he is back in, so if it was a race sim it was either interrupted or it wasn't a true race sim.

They would have gotten a race sim in yesterday and I'm not sure Alonso needs a full sim. Not the end of the world but not ideal either.

So maybe i should reword my post into not saying fuel comparable but lap comparable. If Ferrari think thes need 10kgs more fuel in total, so be it. Across the stint, we can still compare them as bith cars set out to do representative race sims. Unless you are saying that Ferrari purposely overfilled their car with too much fuel, though what would the point of that be? They’d simply be falsifying their tire wear etc.

I'd add that while Vettel's last stint was compromised because it was longer, it's not as bad and unrepresentative as some would like to claim it is. It was the last stint and the car was substantially lighter.

As a a side note:
I don't know why some people are getting so bent out of shape because of comparisons, its like they think we should do nothing because we don't know all 10 billion variables...........

As long as it's for fun there is nothing wrong with these comparisons. But when you take it as serious as some people here do, you should habe ALL variables or don't do it. That's what makes the problem here.
