I get the feeling people's ages are showing in this thread. If you don't like the new one it's probably because it's not aimed at you, it's aimed at your children or grandchildren.
I don't have any children. I do have a shed load of cash to spend. Their choice.
I remember Bernie saying something along the lines of "I don't care much for the young potential fans, they have no money, I want the older rich fans" So Bernie wanted you

Lewis v2.0
King George has arrived.
New found love for GT racing with Assetto Corsa Competizione on PS5 & PC
I remember that film from first time around. Back then I remember saying I'd prefer stick time with the F14 rather than Kelly McGillis. I haven't changed my opinion after all these years...
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
The reality is that Bernie wanted people who were spending NOW because that is value to the brand. Liberty are saying they want people tomorrow because that's value when they come to sell. Make no mistake, both camps have only the bottom line at sale time in mind.

For example here in the states NASCAR is still targeted at young lower and middle class males who are prominently white (imo). The music choices are usually country, rock, metal, or a little pop.
Yeah, those aren't aimed at young people. They're aimed at a diverse middle age, middle class group of people with dollars to burn.
Motorsport has a problem, worldwide - young people aren't in to cars in the way their fathers were.

"Explain the ending to F1 in football terms"
"Hamilton was beating Verstappen 7-0, then the ref decided F%$& rules, next goal wins
while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"
I personally think this is simply another example of Liberty not knowing what they're doing, but feeling they need to change things (that aren't broken). They don't have a finger on the pulse of this sport.
Should've gotten the guy that did Pacific Rim.
At least it's not Hans Zimmer.
Played it to SWMBO. Her opinion: "If you hadn't told me it was F1 would I have thought it was? No. Now you have, I suppose the "meeow" noise sounds like racing cars but..."

It's deliberately trying to make it seem more gladitorial, which a lot of the NFL coverage is like. I really couldn't care about it though to be honest, it's over 3 mins long and after 30 seconds I was bored of it already.

It's like any other score usage you will never hear the entire thing in one go. not to mention its not designed to be consumed by itself.
Most likely he was given sample video footage to work with, and a direction on what feelings the score should convey.
I agree that I think it shows how far off base Liberty is and completely out of touch.
I bet that even a lot of the younger people they appear to be aiming for, won't really like it.
I get it. Liberty want to divorce themselves from previous F1. They want their own, what I guess what you'd call brand image.
Personally I never saw a reason to change from "the Chain", but then I guess I'm once again just showing my age.
