I think you mean bird version
It was mentioned practice or qualifying - apparently a road speed sensor.godlameroso wrote: ↑08 Apr 2018, 18:08Am I the only one that notices the light under the STR13? I don't know if it's a height sensor or what, but there's a clear light shining on the ground.
I saw a light under the noose but I thought it is because of night race ( Once I thought Ham's car got fired but ıt was a track light mirroring from his helmet )godlameroso wrote: ↑08 Apr 2018, 18:08Am I the only one that notices the light under the STR13? JK said in preseason testing that all teams have one of different types and it was for monitoring tyres. Not sure why this one has a light on it but it's clearly more noticeable on the night race.godlameroso wrote: ↑08 Apr 2018, 18:08Am I the only one that notices the light under the STR13? It's an optical sensor, it measures not only road speed, but also the direction. So it's used to see how much slip there is in the front tyres. i.e. lots of tyre slip compared to steering angle suggests understeergodlameroso wrote: ↑08 Apr 2018, 18:08Am I the only one that notices the light under the STR13?
