That is a wonderfull trip for riding a bike. I imagine to do that with a BMW or a hog.

What could make a better day than picking up a new bike? I recognize the style, a Motard single i think, what make and model? Just a 60 mile range gas tank? Good for going out for a run down your favourite curvy road :D

Hey flynfrog, nice bike and nice dog!

Next time get a 5 liter plastic "drum" and tie it to the back part of the bike

This make me remember the summer I took my car and crossed my country to trip all arround Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy provinces. One day I stopped to have lunch in a lovely cabin in the middle of the "Yungas" (jungle in mountains) in Salta province when 3 BMW bikes with a married couple riddin´ each one stopped by. They were from Ecuador and had ridden from there to Bariloche and where now returning

For you to have an idea of the kind of trip that was here I drew a red line in the map. Dont know how many kilometres they did, but, for example, in my trip from Buenos Aires to Salta, back and forth I made 4500km (2800 miles)

It is a 97 KTM duke 620 single. The poor millage was a result of my speed and the terrible head wind I had that day. Im expecting better around town. I will be using it as a commuter bike and parking the car until it snows

I carried 2 camp stove fuel bottles for emergencies and had to use them once

that trip would be amazing.

I would like to to due Route 66 in the states once. Ive done it in a solar car but a bike would be much more relaxing

mine came to 448 miles not bad for a days ride

Of course! Those swedish aircrafts are might fine! There you have a pretty old Viggen:

I've tried to find a picture of a Gripen landing on a public road, but I wasn't lucky in two minutes.

EDIT: Here you have a gripen being serviced in a dispersed road with mobile equipment. As fas as I can see, it's carrying four AIM-120's and a couple of AIM-9l

I am not amazed by F1 cars in Monaco. I want to see them driving in the A8 highway: Variable radius corners, negative banking, and extreme narrowings that Tilke has never dreamed off. Oh, yes, and "beautiful" weather tops it all.
