Dunno what u get out from all this man. If the upgrade fails to deliver u will be spamming his mailbox, tweet feed. Give it a rest, sit back and enjoy the ride. Its not like the guy is working on the nose or front wings. Besides that guy has way too much time to read and reply while working.
I for one will be cautious about this new episode of new hope for Mclaren fans. They spent last three years perfecting this nose and front wing philosophy; i dont think this concept will be maximised immediately, so please pump the brakes before the walls come crashing down.

Yeah maybe he is trying to manage fan expectation a little bit....? but yeah has to becareful giving fans false hope!

I´m afraid/wonder about how the new aero rules for next season will affect McLaren. I guess their new concept takes a lot of work, and a new simplified FW will probably affect it dramatically, or it may even ruin the concept wich would be a disaster for McLaren, so much work going to the trash...

I guess we´ll have to wait at least until seein the new car

They will have to adopt like everyone else, it remains to be seen what the effect would be of the new changes.

Well considering they are lacking right now, keeping it simple might help them.

I think the nose and the center flaps under the nose may be okay. That part that directs air flow to the T tray, affects the floor's performance and barge boards will be okay.

My understanding is it should just be the outer portion of the FW to change/limit the outwash.

Well, it's the car they should have started 2018 with, so it isn't that strange that everyone is expecting a big jump. If you compare the pace from the last races of 2017 to now, there is almost no improvement. McLaren no longer wants to overpromise, so we'll just have to wait and see. Just look at all the parts that have been listed, this is more a b-spec than a regular update.

It is, but everyone will also have packages here, all these journo's talking of almost a second improvement are being silly, even if it is, relative to the other teams upgrades you'd still only see half that.
