Not a hundred percent certain but it appears the sidepods are smaller. The area around the middle appears to be much more vertical than before.

I can't see any difference tbh. Looks the same. Probably it looks different without the sidepod wings.

It does add some drag.

I doubt the additional downforce is worth the drag here. Its mostly a point a squirt circuit and teams usually bring low downforce packages.

What are these bulbous things, I noticed the Williams has it too.

On the Williams there are wires running to the lumps which suggests sensors of some kind. The Williams version looks very crude and must do no good for the airflow...

Perhaps they Laser Doppler Velocity sensors?
