Hamilton 4/10th’s quicker in S1, Bottas quicker in S2 and then when it’s clear they are safely through they back off and pit.
Somewhat worrying.

Also Ricciardo gets to start with the SS as well.
Verstappen as well. Horner just said
Yeah just heard that. My mistake.

Yep 2.1 Merc is damn good.

Vettel having to wring the neck out of that Ferrari to try and get near means he makes a mistake.

Mega lap from Lewis nailed S3 and he had to because Bottas was very close.

Ferrari in trouble here.

In positions 3&6 with all the cars around them on the more optimal tyre.

Unless it rains
Always find the gap then use it.

Did only the Mercedes improve in the second run of Q3?

Dominant Mercedes. They were not beatable today. But I hope Mercedes fans won't tell that it's up to the new engine which is vastly faster than Ferrari's. It was a combination of all factors. Also the fact that Mercedes is being suited most by these tyres. The track also seems to suit them.

Vettel couldn't put the performance on the track after all. He has had troubles and was not happy all weekend. A bit of a pity he couldn't manage to do a proper second run, but probably he would have stayed 3rd anyway.

Leclerc is just amazing. He outperforms his teammate like they are in different cars.

I’ll say it again. We will miss him when he is gone.

In much the same way we look back and miss Senna, Post, Lauda, Schumacher, etc.

That was weird. I wonder why. Bottas did really well too, considering he missed so much practice.

the more optimal tyre I don't know at all.
Track much less temperature tomorow with respect to FP2
degradation curve probably will change significantly
