Jordan had these really strange wings in front of the sidepod inlets.

To me it looks like they are used to condition the air flow over the top of the sidepods. Kinda like the midwing conditions airflow to the rear wing.

I think Jordan seeking for some extra downforce while improved the air flow over the sidepod.

Yup talking of the same part. I think it was used by the Timo Glock during the first free practice session and the it was removed from the car. The following GP the Hungarian GP it came in as a definitive solution.

Yes they have. But Timo Glock was the only Jordan driver to use them.

These wings will bring more air into the Engine Box which help the Cooling System i guess so !

Besides giving a little more downforce (without a major increase in drag) they also help the air to flow into the radiators.
