Today's unveiled Mercedes AMG F1 W09 resembles a lot its sucessful predecessor, the championship winning W08. And this is no coincidence, as team boss Toto Wolff reveals. However, there are some interesting changes to come this year with the new car.

Toto talked about upcoming upgrades for Austria and Silverstone, and they deliver. Didn't see that many changes on the Mercedes contender since Spain 2017.
Looks like a new concept for the radiator inlet. The outer edge is cut back. As though the opening extends around the side a little. And a horizontal wing-like lower edge and extension connecting to the X-wing, similar to the RB14.
God forbid Ferrari should have a single turning vane attached to their mirror, while the rest of the field have 2, 3, 4 without so much as a mention.
It's because they have theirs attached to the halo.
I know. Still an interesting contradiction of their own rule. Cool so it only applies when attached to the halo. Why (Like logistically, safety-wise, cost wise)? Just cause...
