Toro Rosso STR13 Honda

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Nice endplate update. I wonder if they are affecting the vortex under arches negatively with this... Looks like an update to add some more DF and to strengthen that foot-plate vortex.
I love how STR tries new stuff in instead of strictly copying others. I feel there are a few items that are now ubiquitous on the grid, thanks to them.

I only wish they had the budget to push faster, so the big spenders couldn't copy and get ahead of them with their own concepts so quickly.

The front wing on this car does not have a hole straight through it for ballast, but just a recess.

I don´t know if is the angle of the picture, but looks to me the pipe of the exhaust is not completely horizontal as the beginning of the season, is more upwards, like the concept that Renault is using or tried to use.

Agreed. Seen it in few races prior as well, whilst not as extreme and directed as Renault, it has progressively inclined.

Was not expecting Toro Rosso to be the first to copy those mirrors. Maybe we will see Red Bull doing it later.

These mirrors with channels for sure must be there to direct air into top inlet!
