Just like Mercedes being German I suppose.

In the aero team there is only one American. The rest of team are almost all Europeans.

With the power and speed that an F1 wheel gun has, it's not only possible to cross threads but also to rip them clean out of the nut.

The wheel nut thread is a thread designed to make it virtually impossible to cross thread when the nut threading is started. because the wheel nut is done/undone by the wheel gun/wheel gun man, it is said the wheel gun/wheel gun man cross threaded the threads. but in actual fact the cross threading is caused by the wheel not being face-to-face with the wheel flange, the effect will be the nut-threads being at a greater angle (tilted) than the angle of the thread.

But do F1 cars actually use products like antifreeze seems redundant to me as they don't run in cold temperatures and are pre warmed before running anway.

No, it does taste like it. I tried both once, never again
