Vettel having a problem with his neck. That's why he didn't do a last run on fresh Softs. Hopefully it won't affect him much in Qualifying.

Strange. I can't believe it'd from the G loads, so it must be something else?

Red Bull can go flat through T1 DRS open, still doesn't help them much in terms of time lap.

Because even with DRS open they're still down on speed compared to ferrari/merc who close it momentarily for the flick before reponening it again (while staying flat all the time). I've seen this with all renault cars this weekend, they're seriously down on power on the straights, up to 10 kph at some points.

What happened to Vettel in FP3? He did just 8 laps in this session. At the start, he did a short 1-lap qualy run (4 laps in total) and then went 4 times on the circuit each time heading to the pits without posting a time. Presumably, he was testing something but after that, he has had some 15-20 min off until the end of the session ... Did something happen to his car?
EDIT: Sorry, now I`ve read the Ferrari tweet!

Do you know who can't? I know Ferrari, Merc and RedBull can.

Quali will be a lot closer than expected I guess. In Austria Ferrari and Merc were also in between a tenth of a second after FP3 but Merc managed to find another 3 tenth in Quali. Given that track temps will be quite a bit higher in Quali might favor Ferrari more than Merc. It's also interesting that Kimi took the high speed corner turn 12 with 269kmh while Hamilton only managed 259kmh.

I love how crofty sounds all voiceless now that it looks like Hamilton is not dominating.

As Cr.Horner said on Sky, Silverstone now with these high-speed corners taken flat out means it`s transformed into a power related track, and from the top 10 there are 6 cars with Ferrari power ... or maybe Merc power teams used lower power modes (higher fuel loads?)

Looking from Kimi point of view, he was 5km/h faster than Lewis and Bottas so it seems to be that case ... If I remember after the first 3 races of the season Merc has released the higher power modes for all customers cars, so maybe that`s the same scenario with this 2.1. spec

So Ferrari and Merc have both 4 sets of soft. Mediums: 3 for Lewis, Vettel and Kimi, 2 for Bottas. Hards: 1 for each driver. With a 2 stop strategy and a 4 tenths difference between soft and medium, the best is to start on softs which I think is the case of Merc and Ferrari but I would be not surprised to see RB doing Q2 in medium ones ... One stop could be the case maybe for Haas and Toro Rosso, as they've tested them in FP3 ...
