So are we supposed to read (between the lines) there that Alonso is to FI?

No, I think it's more that people will want to see whether there is a seat open at Mclaren...
Favourite driver: Lando Norris
Favourite team: McLaren

Turned down the chance to meet Vettel at Silverstone in 2007. He was a test driver at the time and I didn't think it was worth queuing!! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Good link. If they go thru a pre-packaged administration then is it like bankruptcy in the U.S. where they can shed some of the debt? I'm amazed anyone ever fronts or lends a single dollar/euro/pound to an F1 team.

Mercedes is one of the debt holders from the engine lease, but they are politically/legally/financially savvy, so I assume they will emerge with some shareholding in the team. But do they want that? They can already place their young drivers wherever they need via engine-lease stipulations.

"What!? The team hasn't been sold yet, it was supposed to be sold by 12:00 AM yesterday according to one report!! Stroll is probably on a stroll having buyer's remorse already thinking about owning an F1 team, I mean it already made two billionaires paupers, does he want to become one also? Does he love his son so much, stay tuned for all this and much much more on the same channel."

Go back to your day jobs ladies and gents.

The current owners of SFi and some of the teams mentioned in this article, include HRT and a few others to the list. also for the brainfade, hit F5 to refresh, if that doesn't help -> give up.

"You know what they say about the best way to make a small fortune in F1: start with a large one. These are tough times for the smaller equipes, and even for some of the larger outfits. The last all-new team was Toyota in 2002, and it spends $400 million annually just to finish fourth or sixth every so often."

That actually sounds like a logical approach.

the current owners of FI never lost their billionaire status from owning an f1 team.?

Neither have they lost their billions, but they have lost some of their fortunes quenching the thirst of owning an F1 team, but here's my question to you - can you name a privateer F1 owner walking away smiling to the bank with the millions they have made from selling their team? Apart from Brawn, I can't seem to think of anyone else having such success.

And Red Bull Racing isn't doing too badly either....I know he hasn't sold it, but I am sure I read that DM isn't actually spending much (if any) of his own money on the team.
