So apparently a Ferrari on its outlap is faster than anybody else with fresh tyres that have already gone through an outlap. Guess that's the title sealed?

Incredibly enough hamilton is consitently faster than vet by a tenth or two in S1 and vettel holding up with him in S2. complete opposite of everything we've seen so far with ferrari dominating S1 and struggling in S2.

Yet the gap keeps increasing? It's like Spec 2 and Spec 3 engines are the same lul.

Of course he wasn't. Otherwise how was 3.3 sec gap reduced to 1.5 sec after the pits stops?

Well Merc made a step with spec 3 and Ferrari did as well. So no difference I guess.

That lap Lewis was close to vettel as they went in to les combes, and lost a big chunk being to close through S2 where clean air is crucial. So not quite as clear as you say

hamilton seems to have backed off now. he's 0.5s slower in S2 last couple laps.

Yes, the race seems to be over barring any weird events and crashes.

I'm wondering why Merc decided to run more downforce. They're still blistering and sacrificing straight-line speed. Unless I have my info wrong.

@Sierra117 ,

Hamilton was 0.9 behind Vettel going in to Les Combes (end of S1) and lost time because he was following Vettel closely in S2.

Simple explanation

I know, but after that, there has been no recovery, has there? Compared to Ferrari's performance, they always seem to be able to recover in the next sector if they lose out in the previous one.
