Give him a break. He's been passed like he stood still up the hill... apparently. Must have been sore. ;)

Clearly no tricks were employed last year when the Merc kept going up the hill when the Ferrari ran out of puff.
It looked like an DRS deployed overtake, but without it actually being deployed. It’s such a big difference in speed... That’s what’s so shocking about lap 1
Point being?
The sheer difference in speed during the overtake. Don’t think alot have seen that coming on lap 1.

It was not DRS but slipstream.

Ocon in 3rd with the Merc engine almost passed Vettel. This shows that it is not the engine but drag being reduced by following the car in front.
I know it wasn’t DRS, but the speed difference was just like a DRS overtake.

Well it has to be like that, as both reduces the drag.

How strange is life? A year back Lewis was on a Monza podium in the heart of Italy taking the piss out of the tifosi saying Mercedes power is better than Ferrari power.. Today, his body language suggested quite the opposite!
It was those morons at Monza who booed him, even before he started talking. What would you expect him to do? Monza always dishes out those morons. It's like someone has brought uneducated idiots from a third world country. Vettel himself has got that treatment in 2013!

Were you also there in Monza last year, booing him? Seems so.

When would you guys learn how to savor a good win, without berating others?

Yeah, completely unlike Silverstone this year, where gentlemen of highest order give a sporting applause to every driver, especially their driver's opponents.

Boring race, but I didn't expect that VET overtake on lap 1.

Pirelli should have brought US-SS-S instead, are they going too conservative?
Didn't expect that pass on lap 1?? That was the only real chance he had to pass being so close at La source on the opening lap.

Lewis just looked beaten in post race interviews. Not just for this race, he acted beaten for the next races too. How many teams are still allocating resources for serious in season development? Or is this the car he has to work with the rest of the season?

Anyone watching C4 coverage?

The guy sent DC and Webber to hunt down Toto like turning the dogs on him!!! I loved it Lol

Edit, they found him talking to kids of the mechanic in the motor home.

Well Vettel said a couple of times that they see big room for improvement with the current car and that he's happy with what's in the pipeline. This is Ferrari's best shot at the championship since a long time so developing the sf71h for as long as possible seems reasonable.

Well I didn't expect an overtake done in that way, it almost looked"easy"... It remainded a bit the overtake HAM did on VET in Spain, when Vettel said: "he passed me like a train"

Wow, for Lewis to concede the rest of the season like that doesn't sound very positive.

C'mon Lewis, find motivation and be the best Lewis you can be. Even if I still want Ferrari to win

Jokes aside, he looks really down recently. Lots of complaining (around the paddock) about Ferrari even though F1 has historically been a sport of dominance from a single team. Merc had it the last half decade.

Anyway, recently, best part of F1 has been a front runner pushing through the field
