A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.
Would less take result in more even force distribution across the floor? Instead of having it suck hardest at the diffuser leading edge you get say half the floor pulling instead?
Underfloor and diffuser drag is pressure difference multiplied with cross section as seen straight on from the rear + skin drag. So high rake and aggressive diffusers has more by default. But, IF you get more downforce from the floor you can take off wing and that is still more efficient.
