Renault protests against Haas

Post

This comes a little bit by surprise:
https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/rena ... s/3170066/

Does anybody think Renault can succeed, although the Haas-car went to scruitineering during the Weekend and has been legal?

If they have a legitimate case, OK fair enough, but Renault have been slipping in my esteem this last couple of months.

Id say, scrutineering passed = legal.

Sour grapes from a terrible team and manufacturer that can't get their sh*t together...

I bet Ricciardo is seriously questioning his choice at this point...

I remember a team excluded from the results in Australia a few years ago after their rear wing was found to be illegal so they could still be penalised

Maybe some sort of panic, because they've lost 4th place in WCC...

In my opinion not the best attitude to act as a competitor. But let's see what the stewards are going to decide.

Sauber.

Why have scrutineering then? The FIA should be fined for these things instead of competitors being DQ'd.

quick translation....The zone of the Haas that puts in question Renault is in the front part of the bottom. They say that there was already a warning from FIA but that Haas could not change it but he warned. I do not think it goes any further. War of dispatches by the P4

Ok, but why do the teams have to undergo scruitineering? I thought the FIA do all that stuff that the teams can be sure that they are in confirmity with the technical regulations.

If you look at this report after Qualifying, car 08 were checked for various bodywork items:

What is questionable about that?

Only the FIA can demand compliance by scrutineering, then deflect blame when scrutineering fails..

They should pay a $50M fine to any team that is disqualified after passing scrutineering.

I agree, maybe it is to elicit a clarification from the FIA so that Haas has to modify their floor before the next race

This is disgrace. It's embarrassing. Renault is really childish. Do not play if you cry. #-o
