Lewis Hamilton endured a difficult race at Mexico, but it was more than enough to secure a legendary fifth World Championship, equalling Juan Manual Fangio and coming ever closer to Michael Schumacher's illustrious 7 titles.
Last year the redbull ran away and won by 20s. If these two play nice at the start. They can pick up a nice 1 2.
Horner will be giving them a serious talk today. The last time they could have had a 1,2 they screwed it up.
Hamilton will sit back and go for a gap if the two up front fight like he did last year but he must be wary of getting in a blind spot and getting hit.
Vettel needs to get ahead if lewis. This will make the redbulls easy pickings on the straight on lap 4 when drs is enabled.
Race should be very interesting. But i will pip hamilton for the win.
Vettel will be nowhere near the back of the Redbulls after trying to follow closely through the twisty bit just before the long straight, as long as the Bulls save some deployment to give themselves a boost entering the pit straight they should be far enough ahead to escape the DRS zone and possible slipstream.

Ham will sit tight especially after what happened last year. He'll be okay with conceding a place or two if there's a situation where doing that will keep his nose clean.

Oh they will sit VER down and explain that his time will come, he’s got a contract for next year and this might RIC’s last chance of glory for the next couple of years. So... max, calm the F down, your time will come. Or something.
Max is very easy to dislike. After a great, almost historic, quali session, all he can do is gripe and pout like a 3 year old. Good grief...and they said Wehrlein was a diva?!?! I hope Ric can make the first corner before enveloped in the red mist of his team mate.
I am guessing fairly shortly after exiting the womb, and the bitchery has yet to subside.
For the folks that think any of Horner's words to Max or Daniel will matter the second the lights go out...ya lolz. If either sees an opportunity, they will go for it.
What an odd weekend though. FOM should just build a calendar based on high/low elevation, in addition to a tyre pressure lottery.

The dumbest think he could have said was that it was a crap qualifying.. That was more childish than crashing into the #2 placard. Then he goes on to blame the equipment. Daniel has to use the exact same machinery.
After watching to two laps side by side, Max was riding the curbs too much and making lots of corrections. Daniel was very very smooth. He may not admit it, but it seems he was under pressure and was not relaxed.
I couldn't watch the telecast, but I followed the Autosport live commentary.
At one stage in quali Max claimed his car was great !
I can't find it now because I don't know how to access the live commentary after its finished, but to then come out and say the car was crap, and purposely hit the P2 bollard shows just how much effort Red Bull have put into producing another petulant brat like Vettel.
Given the altitude has a much more pronounced effect on Mercedes and Ferrari than Renault, is it reasonable to suggest that Renault's turbocharger is more effective than that of Ferrari and Mercedes?
My reasoning being, we know the Renault engine is inferior to both, yet here both Renault and Red Bull are extremely competitive - Renault especially. Given power drop off with altitude is relatively linear, the only method of compensation would be differential of turbo performance.
What do we know of the Renault turbo relative to that of Ferrari and Mercedes? E.g. size, RPM, etc...
It also could be the case the Renault's battery and charging system is more efficient, meaning they can produce full(er) charge from reduced engine power output.
Just speculation on my part, and I'm not an engine expert, but the data here seems to provide some evidence toward highlighting architectural differences.
I like max but i like daniel more. His lap literally came from no where. Verstappen face said it all but i did not like him saying car was crap. Against mercedes/ferrari you cant top all practice session with a crap car. I liked the face of helmut after ricciardo took pole. He was shell shocked. Expect baku like action between the two and dnt be surprised if they handover victory to hamilton or vettel. Hamilton has to be careful he can easily be taken out by verstappen.
