It really seems like Hartley prefers the last aero update and Gasly doesnt. If Hartley would have qualified better it might have been a points race here.
I'm not sure what a team is to do if the drivers prefer different packages to this degree.
It looks like he lost concentration for this season. This is not good for a race driver.
Yes, Gasly is certainly one that doesn't like to be shown up by his teammate, even if there are legitimate reasons that are outside of his control - I guess that's the kinda persona you need to succeed in this sport, unfortunately.Hino wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 01:32Bit of a mess at STR during the race between Gasly and Hartley. Yep, the ugly side of Toro Rosso. Ultimately you either impress the Helmut or you're out. There's no point in making long-term plans in the team.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 05:33It's dog eat dog at TR. There is almost no point in helping the team mate or even the team itself. It narrows down to driving your heat out and hope you are picked by Dr. Marko.
Not a fair comparison as they have different tyres at different stage of race. In quali, it was clear that they lost more in twisty section in Mexico. Same in Austin, losing few tenths.Jaisonas wrote: ↑12 Nov 2018, 21:26Gotta say though, the spec2 had some good acceleration in mexico https://youtu.be/9-aScIDPMlY?t=1260
