I don’t think that Giovanizzi or Russel are faster drivers than Kimi.netoperek wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:26Or maybe they both got very close to the limitJust_a_fan wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:24So Russell has set the new unofficial track record now. Interesting that Kimi's best time is basically the same as his team mate yesterday. Did Ferrari drive to a delta or is it just a coincidence?
Yes, that would be the coincidence.netoperek wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:26Or maybe they both got very close to the limitJust_a_fan wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:24So Russell has set the new unofficial track record now. What limit? They have 1:16.1 on FP3. If qualy was on dry track, they would go faster than this testing times on ultrasoft. I don't know if this information is true, but i read on this site that Kimi set time of 1:15.8 on soft...netoperek wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:26Or maybe they both got very close to the limitJust_a_fan wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:24So Russell has set the new unofficial track record now. I didn't know Benetton were back in F1...
Next level joke! I like it! The colour powder effect on the FW does look cool, I wonder how much the other teams can learn about the aerodynamic characteristics of their car by looking at the same picture?roon wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 19:37Spotted near the Williams garage:

What more can they do? They already have enormous tyres, wider especially front and even slightly wider in the rear than they were in the 1980's.
They already allowed cockpit adjustable front wings in 2009, but then dropped the rule as nobody was using it IIRC.ESPImperium wrote: ↑01 Aug 2018, 13:00For instance if a driver was turning into a right hander, the left side wing would increase by 3 degrees from the base value, and its this base value the driver could change.
Stop banning interlinked suspensions, cut back on the aero allowances, give Michelin the tyre tender too so we have a tyre war.JordanMugen wrote: ↑17 Nov 2018, 14:47
Are you suggesting a rule to require the teams to run a more optimal suspension geometry, instead of geometries compromised for aerodynamics (as they currently run)?
Is there any chance we can see which tyres were used in the whole testing by the teams?
Kubica faster than Russell on the same compound sounds promising
