why is the blue there anyway?

The car hasn’t even hit the track and listen to yourself.

Give it some time in daylight and on a racetrack- maybe it might grow on you? I don’t think the livery competition is particular high this year given that RBR will revert to their same old boring mix, Force India still looks like it belongs on chewing gum and Williams has annoyed half of the F1 technical community.

But given that McLaren have spent the last 9 months in the absolute doldrums, today is about optimism and a new car. Let’s try to embrace that

still feeling bummed out we're not having something like this




imho, the BEST looking livery mclaren has had since Marlboro. And that includes the chrome vodafone livery. which i think would look a lot better again.

as for looking in real life,
yeah it's true, things do look different irl.

the blue of last year had a distinct tone to it IRL that didn't ever got translated well in photos or media.
that same went for the black they had before that.

it reminded me of A1GP cars almost a decade ago. or perhaps we're already there. iirc it was Ireland OR india which had a green that was somehow fluorecsent green AND had a certain chrome green over it. it looked absolutely fantastic IRL imho.

I'm trying to embrace the #journey and I really hope Norris will do well. But as we can only discuss the livery here it's not really strange that people have some problems with it? Anyway let's see monday when we have something real to talk about.

They used a orange car with blue accents in the past at Indy. Before last year never used in F1...
