Haas VF-19 Ferrari

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Also their engine cover is already adopted to this solution, Ferrari's isn't.

Box kites are very good in yaw, you can't help but applaud what Haas has done in this area. The slotted side pod deflectors comnecting with the side pod wing. The diffuser shape connecting the midwing to the deflector. Surprised other teams haven't copied Haas' deflectors. We saw Red Bull make a half hearted attempt.

Also interesting to see Haas go their own way (even if they are slower than Ferrari, gaining your own understanding of aero has to be good for the future) on such developments.

This car is well developed out of the box. The black colour is hiding a lot of details. I had a closer look in this thread after Melbourne Q1 and the car seems to be detailed like a top 3 car, especially the barge board area, and the rear end.
The parts also seem to be efficiently designed resulting in a light weight car. The Williams is the polar opposite to give an idea of lower attention to detail resulting in bulkier components.
For Sure!!
